Alternate answer to that question, "What is it 1997 or something?"

Reading a certain other team's GDT, it's funny how the posts at the end of the game don't match up in any way, shape, or form with the arrogance exhibited at the beginning of the thread. interesting.

I really want to go over there and quote a few pre-game comments, but I'll hold back and enjoy this win.

If you're talking about what Krishna said, that person is a Flyers fan.

Some Canucks fans were a little cocky too, but not as bad as Krishna.

If we can get Ryan going, we'd be that much stronger.

It wasn't just Krishna, alot of stuff got deleted from their gameday thread like them calling us the stupidest fans in the league.

Yes. He needs to assert himself more, but that's his career in six words.

Perry looked lost and still got a goal.

Really liked the d-pairings. Welcome back Lydman, we can take your face off the milk cartons now.

Selanne is now tied with Dale Hawerchuk in all time points at the 18th spot (1,409) and is three more goals away from being tied with Luc Robitaille in goals. If he can get 30 more goals this season he can move up to 7th overall in goals scored (depending on how Jagr does of course).

Crap. I forgot to contribute to this thread but I guess it's not too late.

Anyway, that was awesome. Teemu is such a great man.

Couple things that are maybe a little buried: BB's decision to call a timeout in the second turned out to be genius. And the whole "help Hiller see the puck on the PK" dealie is still a work in progress.

So - does Fowler get bumped to PP2 when he comes back? Or only when we play Vancouver?

Only sorta

Was a great game.... good way to start the season hopefully this gained some of our young guys confidence.

Selanne honestly looks like he could play a good 3-5 years, if he wanted
