Because for a guy like Jagr to score, you need some speed, energy, and a decent offensive defenseman to get him the puck? This isn't rocket science.

Actually, it would have specifically prevented this because there would be no game between St.Louis and Detroit tonight.

Strangely, I don't even feel like we were shut out. I feel like that would require us generating a scoring chance.

Odds are, we'd get the Rangers or something.

Not deep enough at forward. Traded depth for Nash, which makes sense, but Blues have 3 sick lines.

edit: Anisimov just proved my point. Dirty shootout goal.

Perhaps the most regular season disappointing Wings game I can recall.

Ill reserve judgement on their three sick lines until we are further along in the season.

I don't know, I expected them to be bad, not this bad, but then I probably would have been more surprised by a dominant Wings performance.

Fair enough but look at the NYR forwards here: http://www.capgeek.com/rangers/

They are one Glassorik injury away from disappointment

Sure. They only have Callahan, Richards, Nash, Hagelin, Stepan, and Kreider to fall back on. Yikes.

I looked forward to this game for 9 months... utterly let down right now. I don't care of the Wings lose, but they better give a ****.

Hagelin and Kreider don't do much for me, personally. I don't think Nash, Richards and Callahan are going to carry you past the Bruins, Pens or Flyers. But Torts is a good coach so maybe.
