Paraphrased a tad, but he did use most of what I said.

The "you kids out there" started the rant, and then he whined about Brouwer and Burmistrov showing some levity in a hockey game. Showed another pair of players jostling with eachother prior to a faceoff and insisted "that's how the game should be played".

Because, you know, hockey should never put a smile on your face.

Remember that, you kids out there.

Team Canada has too many righty defensemen, which gives Hamhuis an edge(even if Pietrangelo plays his off-side)

Doughty played on his off-hand last Olympics didn't he?

Doughty - Weber
Keith - Seabrook
Pietrangelo - Letang
Staal

I'd put Phaneuf in the line up. He plays both sides so can seamlessly fill in for any defender. Also he add some big hits and physicality

Paraphrased a lot, actually. I think you missed his point.

If you are down 2-0 in the third period, fighting for a playoff spot in 9th place in the conference, and playing a team with one of the worst records in the NHL and you are having a laugh with the guy that just scored that second goal against you, you are doing it wrong.

Hockey is fun. Play to win, accept a loss with dignity...but don't laugh it off. I know it might not be popular with people who think sports should be played with no scores, but I would say what he said to my own kid.

That guy is your friend AFTER the game, not during it. Brouwer was probably thinking "I have this guy right where I want him" when he was sharing a laugh right after the goal.

Man, there is just so much that you don't "get".

First off, Don knows it's a major longshot that any of those 2 D-Men even get considered for the Olympic team, but he is in Vancouver (with a predominately Vancouver audience), Hamhuis is from BC, he does like those 2 guys and he's giving them some props - Is that so bad? If you want to laugh at someone, laugh at McLean for suggesting Burrows.

Secondly, If you cant tell the difference between guys on the same team, who are winning a game and leading their division having a laugh on the bench and 2 guys on opposing teams who are both "fighting" for a playoff spot having a laugh together, then I just don't know if you'll ever "get it".

No. It was him on the right and Keith on the left. Neidermayer and Weber on another pairing and Boyle and Pronger on the last. Seabrook was the 7th D.

Classic Don! I just hope he ends up going, even if they have to drag him there kicking & screaming.

Add me to those who agree with him about this laughing in the faceoff circle thing.

Hockey should always put a smile on your face,,,,, when you are with your teammates, never with the enemy.
