I really hope they trade him soon and then Schneider shows that he can't handle the load. Would serve them right.
Gillis has been doing so much media lately. I think the market for Luongo isn't at all what he thought it would be. And he can say he would be fine with waiting and there is no problem, but there is no way you want Luongo on the bench playing less than 10 games, no matter how good of a sport he is.
I think the return won't be what Canucks fans are hoping for.
Hendricks really looking great on the Caps.
Lots of speed, lots of clever plays.
He's a lot on a line with Ovechkin and Backstrom and really does not look that much out of place. Not saying he's a top 6 forward but he definitely has got something to add.
I don't know Ducks cap situation, but what would their cap space be if they signed both Perry and Getzlaf? Any chance Ryan would be gone?
Friedman said in one of his "30 Thoughts" columns last year that the Ducks had their own internal budget and they were at their limit. So it's not really a matter of cap space.
Conceivably, they could do it though. With the deals for Koivu, Selanne, and Lydman expiring, that's roughly $10 million off the books. I think the question will be whether the players want to stay or if they want to test the market.
My guess? They'll sign one and trade the other. They should keep Perry.
