Obviously it is an incredibly small sample size, especially when you consider how long of a contract Suter has, but I wonder if when all is said and done Suter will look back on his career and wonder why he didn't just stay with Weber.
The money is a little better in Minnesota, but in terms of his own legacy, Suter-Weber would have dominated for a long stretch of their careers and through their primes. Hard to say whether Suter will ever achieve what he could have.
As for Weber, maybe we could give Nashville one of our 1st pairing lefthanded defenders in Hunwick/Wilson/Hejda.
I may be in the minority, but I love watching Marchand play. Really skilled, fast and great at agitating. Really hope Hishon could turn into a more skilled Marchand type, but it's not looking good.
I like Marchand too. Maybe Olver could become our Marchand?
Holtby isn't a very good goalie, every time I see him he screams average to me (much like Neuvirth), I like him because he's a former Blade, but his numbers from last years playoffs were greatly influenced by Hunter's system.
It's a bit sad seeing Ovechkin like this. You could tell a couple of years ago that defenders learned how to defend him and he hasn't adjusted his game in any way. He's so predictable that even marginal defensemen can play him well.

That contract is going to be very ugly very soon.
And Spacek of all people showed the way how to play against him.
Called Holtby coming back down to earth this summer. Hunters system kept everything to the outside.
I love how Schneider and holtby were the next great ones and varly was just an injury prone head case, that had a good 30 games in the NHL. As if the small sample sizes didn't matter only to varly.
Tbh I don't think holtby is that bad but he was never the next great one a lot of people thought he was.
I'm getting the same feeling about Forsberg as I had about Pääjärvi in Sweden. I like so many parts of their game, but there seems to be something missing. Forsberg has more compete than MPS so I guess I l like him a bit more.

Actually MPS looked really decent against us in Edmonton. That said Forsberg (fantasic shot) will be a good player no doubt and probably will be better than MPS. Though overall Washington and Pittsburgh failed by not picking Grigorenko, IMO.
In the end I do like our injury prone franchise goaler.
