With the Columbus win over Vancouver (yes that happened), Florida's in last place now.

Looking back, I wonder how they would've gotten under the cap had the Preds not matched the Shea Weber offer sheet?

Whst im wondering is how you trade 2 top centers and not get atleast a top pairing defender.

The Richards and Carter trades were awesome for the Flyers.

Replacing JVR and Jagr with nobody but Fedotenko this year though... There goes the depth scoring.

Their offense is fine, they're top 5 in the east and 7th in the nhl. In GA they're 4th last, the flyers team defense is abysmal, just look at bostons 2bd goal.

The trades weren't bad, the value was good but it didn't address a need for the flyers. I was a fan of the carter trade from day 1 but the richards I hated.

Probably when you commit ridiculous cap-circumventing contracts to both.

Ed Snider is definitely a warning to us fans to be careful what we wish for. Unlike Kroenke, he definitely cares and puts up the cash, but he's also extraordinarily impetuous and meddlesome. The series of events that led to the trade for Bryzgalov that necessitated the dumping of Carter/Richards is ridiculous. I thought Philly's impatience

The Flyboys have traded away Justin Williams, Patrick Sharp, James van Riemsdyk, Jeff Carter, and Mike Richards. All of those players except for JVR have won the Cup.

Goaltending is the Achilles heel of Tampa , it's been like this for a few seasons. Yzerman did a good trade when he acquired Anders Lindback , hoping that he would be their next number 1. He had his ups and downs, maybe having trouble dealing with the pressure of being a number 1 , idk . Now they are trying Desjardins , who had great moments with the Lightning in the past , hoping that it will solve part of the problem . One thing is sure , as much as i like Guy Boucher and how great of a coach i may think he is , i'm starting to wonder if his coaching system has some flaws vs the goalies .

Syomin - Staal - Tlusty line is scary good and Saša Syomin is having a fantastic year, he's the main catalyst on that line and his two way game is flat out excellent. Whoever gets him next offseason will get a gem of a player.

He seems happy in Carolina and I think he will re-sign with them.

I think we broke Blackhawks. Oilers up 2-0 after a few minutes.

Soz, Chicago.

Gagner: 23 points in 25 games
Kadri: 25 points in 26 games
Shattenkirk: 19 points in 24 games
Stewart: 21 points in 24 games
Hodgson: 21 points in 25 games

Crosby and Kunitz with three points apiece in the first period against the Isles. Kunitz is now 3rd in the NHL in scoring.

Have Crosby in my Keeper league already. It has become my mission to get Kunitz as well haha. Want to get that entire line. Crosby is only getting better and better and Kunitz is playing very good as well.

I was fine with the Richards trade. Regardless of whatever rumors were true, his personal life was becoming too much of a distraction from Flyers media and fans. And if his play didn't improve after Carter left I could foresee the team being in a weird stasis mode. Richards did reasonably well in LA but he also had a significant amount of teammates to take the limelight away from him.

I took Kunitz in like, the 4th round, I think?
It's been pretty spectacular

Crosby 1st, Kunitz 3rd, Neal 10th ... Kunitz and Neal tied for 2nd in the league with 17 goals each.

Does Team Canada take the whole line to Sochi next year ?
