Yes or no OT thread: Is it ok to drink a beer while wearing a 5 week old baby in a carrier on your chest? At home among a few close friends of course.

Yes. And.

Where are affordable places a college guy can take a girl out to?

I like Karmacode and Shallow Life, but Comalies is still their best work.

So the house next to me is empty. Has been for years.

For some reason though with every snowfall we've had this year someone has come and used a snow blower on the driveway.

I can't figure out why someone feels the need to snow blower the driveway of an empty house and I certainly can't figure out why they felt that 5am today was a good time to do it.

It's a scenario you wouldn't want a picture of on Facebook, of course, but one beer during a social episode? Absolutely.

Ice skating and pizza/beer is always a cheap date. Plus if its one of the first dates its pretty easy to get some hand holding without it being crazy awkward.

Nothing of course.

Yes, but make sure to place several pillows at your feet just in case. Better yet, invest in a good koozie to decrease the risk of slippage.

Well we're both 18 so beer's out. Where's some good ice skating places around here that I can go open skate? I heard the Northtown Center but that's a journey from Lancaster. I heard something about one in East Aurora too. But I'm not sure.

There is one in East Aurora, right across the street from the Fishes Price factory. It's right in the village. I have no idea when they have just open skating.

Only if the baby is not attached to you via an umbilical cord.

Your pants.

Bowling is also a good cheap one. Especially if you suck at it

There's always a movie date, take her out for a quick bite to eat/coffee before or after? Or does that stretch the budget too much.

Movies are too damn expensive these days.

Let's pay $15 to see a 3D movie! $8 for popcorn! Yeah......no.

Movies suck for dates though...let's see, you sit next to her, it's completely silent and dark, there's no real interaction...it kinda defeats the purpose of a date.

I told Ace it was fine, it wasn't like he was getting blasted. Doesn't listen to his wife though.

Not that I've dated much, but I've always been a dinner, dessert and sporting event type of girl. Or just long walks/hiking somewhere. Picnics are the best.

But I'm not sure I'm a typical girl...

Well there's your problem, you're going to 3d Movies (I wouldn't go to 3d movies if they were cheaper) and you're buying stuff from the concession stand (largest markup in the universe).

Whenenver I go, it's two regular tickets, and don't give them ****ers a dime at the concession stand.

Mmmm so probably bowling and coffee/pizza or something. Those are the winners. I'm not gonna take her to a game and have her be terrified of me.
