I'm glad YOU said it, finch.

I feel the same way. Well... I don't really care about Dan Cleary. But I believe the Wings are going to have it rough for the first time in over a decade.

Love seeing Detroit and Vancouver both getting shelled.

I have seen it happen far too often, a goalie comes up, looks unbeatable then teams get the ‘book’ on the goalie and he is subpar. Then the goalie has to make adjustments to their game to be effective again. Corey Schneider might have a bad season for this reason.

Just got back from the blues game...detroit didnt even belong in the same building wow. They had like 8 shots in the first two periods...mainly because of STLs defensive system. Tarasenko is flat out filthy, I think a smart poster said last week to watch him But yeah, the fall of detroit is nuts

Kind of ironic that after reems and reems of talk about the Leafs needing to acquire a goalie and Vancouver having a surplus of goaltending that the Leafs get a shutout their first game and Vancouver gets blitzed. Granted it's just one game and probably not indicative of how the season will go.

er, . . I guess the Leafs let 1 goal in. Close enough. For them that's like a shutout.

Also, the old guys Jagr and Selanne light it up.

I had to read through the Vancouver board GDT tonight, the first 7 pages were people saying things like "5-0 Canucks".... of course after that it degenerated

"Corey Schneider finished Game 1 with an 11.27 GAA and a .643 SV%."

Okay so it's just one game, but what a goaltending circus.

There's just no team to cheer for. Lack of dance partners for Scott if Shelley remains scratched, Rinaldo is a foot shorter than him. Hope Scott dresses for the laughs of watching him try and play in the NHL.

A Johnny Scott-Jody Shelley tilt would be nice.

I know what you mean, but in the Bruins' interest, root for the non-Division teams.

So are the Flyers really going to leave Rinaldo by himself vs the triangle of terror in Buffalo? Simmonds is more then likely going to be sucked in now...

Sestito and Shelley should be in there... Give me some damn entertainment!

With Shelley out they have no answer for Scott, but Scott isn't a tough question. He'll likely just skate around for five minutes and do nothing.

Interested in how Grigorenko does, other than that don't really care who wins so hopefully the new Sabre goons can put on a show

It's only been one game, but it's amusing looking back at some threads where most Bruins fans here were saying they wanted nothing to do with Jagr because he "has no heart" or just "cares about himself".

Some stereotypes never die, and people just want "Bruins type players".

Plus they called it a penalty not just a no goal so it can't be reviewed

Should have been a goal for Philly. Easy to tell Philly played yesterday and Buffalo didn't, Buffalo has had its moments but not a real strong period from either team. Buffalo is more physical now, like the way Foligno plays.
