Offseason game plan for Sharks 2013

Yet again, the San Jose Sharks had a competitive year, reaching the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season, though they suffered a seven-game loss to Los Angeles in the second round of the playoffs.

Off-Season Game Plan looks at a Sharks team that figures to be contenders again next year, but the window of opportunity is closing for the team's core.

Yeah, can't see the Sharks reacquiring Boyes. (I think it's a work ethics issue that made them want to trade him in the first place.)

For me it was Al Montoya being signed as a backup.

Boyes did have quite a year last season though. Still, we need goalscorers much more than playmakers

Well they are based off of the evaluating metric he used.

Obviously they are our shutdown pair, but I would argue that they are going to need to step up their puck moving ability and scoring output if the Sharks are going to get to the Finals.

Good article though, although I would rather just ice Martin Havlat than take a risk on a guy like Brad Boyes.
