There were a few missing from the list, like Rucinsky, Darby and Brisebois.

Start of year:

Rucinsky-Koivu-Savage
Zubrus-Linden-Petrov
Brunet-Zholtok-Campbell
Poulin-Landry-Lind

Weinrich-Brisebois
Markov-Dykhuis
Souray-Robidas

Hackett / Theo

End of year:

Kilger-Koivu-Savage
Rucinsky-Bulis-Zednik
Brunet-Darby-Petrov
Poulin-Landry-Campbell
Witehall-Lind

Traverse-Brisebois
Markov-Dykuis
Souray-Robidas

Hackett / Theo

Assuming everyone was healthy. Which, obviously, wasn't the case. Did this team win any games that year?

That's hilarious. (Yet very sad at the same time)

Also, the only guy to come close to playing 82 games was Oleg Petrov, with 81. (I think Brisebois played quite a bit too.)

Don't forget guys like Craig Darby & Eric Landry. Those guys were regular players that year. That was an absolutely brutal lineup.

Alain Vigneault was coach back then right? I always liked Alain and often imagined him looking at his line-up sheet with tears flowing down his cheeks. Poor guy.

I still think Zuburus was a player we should have kept but we did get Zednik and Bulis in return so.. not bad at all. That must have been the worse team we've ever iced!

You're actually regretting trading Zubrus when we also got rid of Linden and acquired a 1st which turned into Perezhoguin?

Linden, Zubrus
for
Zednik, Bulis, Perezhoguin

whoa man Savard KILLED with that one.

Maybe I worded what I wrote badly.. I don't regreat that trade for a second! We got three great players back (I forgot Perezhogin was part of that deal) and dumped Trevor Linden. I should have said I liked Dainus Zubrus as a player and think we could use him on the team.

I hope Zednik, Bulis and Perezhogin are with the team for many years to come!

Man I did not remember that our 2000-2001 roster looked so bad.

Hell....Craig Darby was our #1 centre in some games that year.

Andreas Holmqvist was drafted with the second pick we gave 'em that year (they had traded it to TB afterwhile...). What did they get for the second? Anyone knows?

I thought they had drafted Nathan Paetsch with the pick.

Well on TSN, they say it was Holmqvist (well the pick that had been traded to TB). They might be wrong.

I was wrong finally. The pick was the 2nd rounder that was used for Holmqvist, Washington traded it for a second round pick in 2002, which was later included in the trade where Trevor Linden was headed to Vancouver for a first round pick (Boyd Gordon) & a 3rd round pick in 2003.

Anybody got a video of that? I like to live in the past these days...

This was a great year to experiment full time with hard drugs and forget all about hockey.

problem is most of the time, 2 or 3 of our best players were on IR at the same time...

I remeber some nights hearing that Darby and Poulin were playing top minutes...
The red line was hot though (Petrov Zholtok Zubrus)

I nominate Johan Witehall!

GC2005: The minor tweak I'd make to your end of year line is that Brisebois was playing with Dykhuis as far as I can remember.
