Get us another serviceable goaltender, Stan.
However, this offense is lethal.

Very encouraging start to the year offensively. The passing has been lethal.

Team looks great, crisp, better shape than these two we just played, need another goalie badly though. Then we can really take off.

Brandon Saad looked comfortable out there. He was picking pockets in the offensive zone. Kid has a good hockey IQ. He'll get better in time. Hope they let him get a few more games in the top-six.

Huge start to the season. That 3rd period was wide open rat hockey at its finest.

PP and Goaltending need to improve for this team to think about legit cup hopes

Team looks great minus Emery.
Need to put Bollig in the press box where he belongs and start Mayers.

This is what happens when other teams don't have their ice-clogging, game-killing systems mastered yet and our talent can shine through. Fun.

He looked great tonight, especially the last few shifts of the game.

I really think the increased interference calls are going to kill teams like Phoenix.

Agreed.
I think we found our second line center for the time being. Bolland knows what he's doing other than faceoffs.
Maybe we should get a top-six winger. Then you can develop Saad with controlled minutes on the third line.

Impressed with Saad tonight, looked pretty good. Emery just sucks.

I really don't think they gave a **** about the PP's in the 3rd. Just killing time.

PP has been fine. Scored a nasty PP goal tonight. If you're really evaluating the Hawks' PP based on those last two....that's a joke. Those are meaningless PP with guys like Rozi on the point.....
PP looked ok tonight. Not every one is going to be perfect.
Goaltending on the other han....
This game is a total blowout without a couple really awful awful goals by Emery.

Good game, Hawks look good. Well except for the goalies. Im sorry while i don't think either have played awful, neither have looked very impressive.

Has there been any talk of the realignment that the NHLPA blocked last season going through? It could open up the possibility of trading with Vancouver if they won't be in our conference after this season.

Forward depth is fine. Yeesh. Enough with this "we need another top-6 FW" talk. It's just not realistic.

I don't want Saad anywhere near the bottom six. The best thing for him is to let him feed off other guys in our Big 4.
