Bruins-Jets game was good, especially since I used the Jets on TSN feed . Only downside to that was it hardly every showed the score/time overlay, but I'll take that over the Bruins broadcast team every time.
Rask has looked really good so far this season, which is exactly what I expect from him.
Just lay back and let the Jack Edwards experience wash over you
I actually rather enjoy the NESN broadcast because of Edwards' unhealthy Pierre Maguire-esque fanatical obsession with Patrick Kaleta. Literally, every shift Kaleta is out there, you get no play-by-play at all. He just talks about Kaleta non-stop.
Canucks general manager Mike Gillis suggested to the Vancouver Sun on Tuesday that trade talks surrounding goalie Roberto Luongo are picking up steam.
"We have a potential deal in place with one team that has to do something with another player that they have — and it's not who anybody thinks it is — and so we have to wait. (But) we've been offered packages that don't fit what our plan is, what we need," Gillis told the Sun.
I'm trying to think what team would need to move a player to get Luongo.
The teams with key unsigned RFA all have goaltending set (Varlamov, Lehtonen, Price).
The Panthers have ample cap space, so they wouldn't need to clear space for Luongo.
The Leafs might need to clear some, but I assume that's who Gillis was referring to with "not who you think"
I can't imagine it would be a Western Conference team.
Could it be the Flyers? I could see them looking to improve from Bryz, and they are pressed against the cap so having a deal contingent upon them moving another player (maybe Bryz himself) makes sense.
