They played the CAA horn twice at the Rock, once on Retro night then again during Game 3 of the playoffs. Of course after the latter game it got shelved for good, or at least till the next retro night.

100% Win Ratio! We can't afford to lose any games Vs. teams like the Islanders.

Last time I'll bet on the Canes again...... no matter what they find new ways to **** me over . But still, I'm more happy with the Devils winning despite a few bucks lost. Here's to a hell of a season, great start!!
Between the Zajak signing and the win tonight I'm %100 over the lockout.

Yup Teddy looked good. I think if he's going to play, he needs to play with other skilled guys.

It's pretty interesting how many quality youngsters we have.

How bad was that line change from the Isles on the Zajac goal?

Also, we suck. We only have as many points as the Jackets.

Just looking at the NJ Devils app on DirecTV. They have the Devils on the Atlantic Division standings as Brooklyn. Foreshadowing?

What I really want to see from Teddy is a stronger finish. I remember watching him over the past couple of seasons and loving how well he could control the puck, and how he seemed to combine skill and tenacity when entering the offensive zone, but then he'd either get bumped off the puck due to his size, or he simply wouldn't be able to put anything on net.

If he can work out that part of his game, even if he just gets solid at dishing off to other guys to give them a chance at a clean finish, he'll be incredibly valuable.

Eh, let's not throw stones in glass houses. I fear to think what this board would have looked like if we lost to the Isles.

Nice. Love the banter between those guys, it never disappoints.

He got coned tonight when Boyes hit the post. Absolutely coned. His lack of speed is going to be an issue sooner rather than later.

IMO Zids looked like a space cadet tonight, Greene played soft and A-Train looked slow.

I'll give everyone a pass, first game back.

Jerseys are expensive...think you'll still see lots of Zach this year, especially with the league being out at Christmas time. I know I didnt buy my daughter a new one this year. One a semi related note was at the Rock today..they still have last years players on the pole wraps in the concourse. They better have Parise down before Tues night.

We were already nuts just speculating about line ups before the game.

I haven't gotten mine changed yet either. I have a knock off Kovy that I'm going to strip the numbers and nameplate from, and then put it on my Parise. Just need to find a tailor who can do it.

Very impressed with the defense. Not so much with the offense as a whole but it could be rust. Both goals were clean shots though which is encouraging. Special teams units need work, both of them.

Tedenby was great tonight. Had one little flub defensively that I noticed but Brodeur bailed him out. He can definitely stay for the long haul if he plays like that every night.

Brodeur looked sharp. Overall great win.

Jackets won't win in the postseason without the shootout

Yeah, Parise Devils jerseys are being sold at a discount now he's no longer here. Once you take off the name plate and number, it's a $99 dollar jersey one can customize however they want.

Volch looked slow, but the others I'll have to disagree on. Greene was positionally sound. I'm not expecting him to go looking for big hits. Zid was fine for the most part, he went roaming a bit sometimes and definitely got burned by Tavares at least once, but we know that's going to happen sometimes with him. He did create chances and he still does well paired with Sal.

No complaints from me about the defencemen tonight, the only Isles goal was scored as the result of a forward blowing his assignment.

i saw it as Fayne fell down and Greene was out of position in no man's land.

Greene is solid, I know that, but tonight I felt he was not good with the puck all night long.
