Honestly, passing on Tarasenko may turn out to look bad, but I'm fine with it. We ended up with Turris from that pick, and I rather have Turris and have Tarasenko turn out to be good than have Tarasenko and have had him turn into another russian who didn't come to play. Slight upgrade in offense for the much bigger risk wasn't worth it imo. Plus, it's only 2 games in.
Did he ever come out saying Tarasenko was undraftable?
It's understood that Murray, as the Senators' GM, seems to have decided to not draft Russians. Murray probably does not have anything against Russians: he has history with them; but something happened and he's doing his best to avoid them ATM
