How are ex-Sharks doing elsewhere?
Daniel Winnik has two goals for divisional rival Anaheim in the season opener.
I liked him and thought we shoud've re-signed him. A solid third liner.
How are other ex-Sharks doing? Let's keep track.

Ian White's team was completely destroyed by the Blues today.
Heatley has 2 goals today. Looks good out there.
Setoguchi has an assist so far. Nothing special on the ice though.
McGinn hit the outside of the post on a completely empty net.
Malhotra is Malhotra and Mitchell is Mitchell.
Michalek got a goal today, didn't watch the game.
Those are off the top of my head. Might have forgotten some.
EDIT: Campbell scored twice today. Didn't watch that game either though.

... on the other hand, Nichol's team seemed to do pretty well.
Nabokov lost but saved .929. Carle 1A, +1.
Oh yeah, Ray Whitney 1G, 1A.

Losing is bad, so at least three (per lazy count) had or are having bad games.

It gives me hope Marleau will still be a 20-25 goal scorer in his late 30's. When a slow skater loses a step, they're screwed. But when an elite skater loses a step, they're still at worst average so they can still be effective.

McGinn sucks. DW should trade him now.

What? Hitting the post on an open net just proves he belongs in a Sharks jersey. And the outside of the post, no less - it's just perfect.

Will the McGinn/Sgarbossa trade go down as the worst for DW? Not signing Winnik and Sgarbossa is looking like a great prospect as well. The Ehrhoff trade is probably his worst. But McGinn/Sgarbossa is closing fast.

Winnik now has as many points with Anaheim in 2 games as he did with us in 21. And his deal is only 2 years instead of Burish's 4.
