Even in a 48 game season, I think this is an overreaction by most, yes we cant have our usual bad month, but that does not mean we cant have some bad games.

I do think schroeder needs a chance though and still maintain that over ebbett. He wont be a savior but he would be a better option.

Kassian played well imo.

If there's one thing this mess tonight proved, it's how important Hamhuis is to this team. He was terrible, we got blown out. Let's hope he gets it together in a hurry.

Really looking forward to the next game day thread. This one has taken a turn for the worst. Sedins looked good tonight, that's a plus, right?

When the canucks are down 2-3 goals in a game:

-Players: Yea guys lets just conserve our energy for tomorrow and let the goaltenders hang out to dry.
-AV: Do absolutely nothing to motivate the team.

While I was being facetious given his joke nickname use to be Godson. He would be more useful as we really could use a center.

Started with an excellent first period, unfortunate to not be leading. Carried the play and looked sharp. First couple shifts of the 2nd were good, then the counter-attack goal to make it 3-2 and the wheels completely come off. Utterly horrible performance beyond that point.

- Sedins started well, then disappeared along with the rest of the team. Burrows was invisible aside from one rush in the early 2nd period.

- 2nd line is the 4th line. Thought Raymond actually looked OK in limited minutes. Kassian was a total non-factor and Ebbett ditto. Ridiculous that Schroeder isn't dressed after the chemistry shown with Raymond in the scrimmages.

- 3rd line had some moments. Hansen and Higgins looked OK.

- 4th line probably the biggest positive. Weise looked fast and confident and might have been our best forward tonight. Volpatti had a good, physical game as well. Malhotra, sadly, picked up right where he left off last season.

- Hamhuis-Bieksa had an excellent first period ... then were a trainwreck the rest of the way. Ugh. Supposed to be leaders, and these guys folded mentally more than anyone else.

- Garrison was probably the other big positive tonight. Looked good, as advertised. Solid signing. Edler was in-and-out but not bad.

- Ballard still sucks. Two blown coverages on the 3 goals to start the 2nd period. Tanev looked good but was saddled with a dog of a partner.

- PK dreadful. Looked like it hadn't been practiced at all.

Goaltending obviously the big storyline. Schneider wasn't very good, obviously. He'll be fine. But this situation really, really needs to be resolved.

Team looked very unprepared past the first 20 minutes. Need to get up to speed, and quickly.

No more excuses for this team.

Put up or shut up. That's how I'm treating them this year. They're the same core we've had for ages.

yes it's one game, but I don't give a ****, they stunk it up.

Put UP. OR SHUTUP. Tired of apologetic fans, telling me not to air my concern because "it's just one game".

Well let me tell you this, game SEVEN of the SC final was just "one game".

PUT UP.

OR SHUT UP.

The team looked totally lost today. The fact of the matter is that this team has trouble getting going even with a full training camp and full gamete of exhibition games.

I think the team will start horrendously. The hope is they catch fire and turn into the 2012 LA Kings come April.

Type something intelligent and I'll respond to it. Until then you're just rambling idiocy and wasting my time. Attacking Kassian in this cluster**** of a game and being all doom and gloom is idiotic.

Definitely possible. Just need to avoid more injuries.
