Schnieds let's in a couple softies followed by Lu making sure he isn't outdone.
1 line team with the Sedins and a whole collection of spare parts and garbage.
Higgins, Lappierre, Hansen, ebbett etc.... Yuck
I'm not sure I understand your post. Do you believe that Higgins, Lappy and Hansen are not good NHL players? Why list them and than Ebbett, who is clearly not an established NHLer and well below the likes of Higgins and Hansen.
Laughably predictable? That they would surrender 7 goals? Or merely lose?
You sound like a bitter little child, to be honest...
Av is an idiot. he's gone on record saying how he lets the players motivate themselves. This team is good enough, but they need a coach that can light a fire every once in awhile. It's a vital tool to have and it's something that AV severely sucks at. His job is to coach he says. Motivation is part of coaching.
Keenan was well known for lighting the occasional fire. Maybe we can bring him back?
The whole "Seeding doesn't matter at all" talk is going to be ridiculous this year. LA goes on a run where the biggest challenge was brown figuring out how to make his dives more elegant and everyone now thinks finishing 8th is the way to go.
I'm just pointing out that it's not the end of the world. Obviously it would be ideal to get the top seed or at least win the division. However teams can still win with a lower seed. The 38% figure is for all teams, including those which are definitely inferior talentwise. I'd figure that a team that ended up with a lower seed due to underachieving for a large part of the season (like LA's offense last year) probably has a much better than 38% chance of winning their series assuming they are actually not underachieving by playoff time.
Yes, Schneider had a horrible game, and the defense didn't help him out at all.
Am I worried that Schneider will suck for the rest of the year? No, he has never been this bad before, I expect him to bounce back.
Also, it doesn't help that we pretty much only had three top 6 forwards playing.
I'll judge the team after a couple of weeks, once they're back in playing shape.
First game in which they had zero pre-season games.
Tis true, tis true...and that's one of the reasons I'm not in the fetal position on my bathroom floor with a bottle of Jack in one hand and some Ben & Jerry's in the other.
It's the first game after a very short training camp and no pre-season games against other NHL teams. Not to mention Kes and Booth being out of the lineup. Did I want them to come out and ***** smack the Ducks? Oh heck yeah...but did I expect that to happen? Nyet.. I'm a Canucks fan, I've gotten used to this.
I knew Ebbett was going to look invisible. Although it was the whole team. Goaltending was off, Defense, offense was not that good and I am just overall disappointed. I expect a better start tomorrow by the Canucks they need to be more aggressive. All they did was fell and slipped and never came back it was very sloppy hockey. We need to somehow strengthen the 2nd line.
