I dunno, Smith has been bad but he's made a few big saves too. A LOL's game might be 8-4 right now.

Doan will probably get suspended for excessive force by standing there while a Blackhawk skates into him and falls.

Hopefully Tip puts the next two days of practice to good use after this mess. I'll hand it to the Hawks though, they came ready to play this season between tonight and yesterday.

A bag skate is in order with Yandle and Sullivan needing the most time outthere.

Yandle needs to be benched for a game if he can't play better than he currently is.

I hope we're not going to have a league-wide epidemic of firewagon hockey this season.

I think one take away from this weekend is though, that at least the feared lack of offense wasn't an issue. If you spotted last years team 3 and 4 goals in two games they win that 90% of the time.
If the defense, back checking, and passing is still this out of wack at the end of the month then we can hit the panic button.

Our offense actually looks better than the last few seasons.
Yandle is just
It took Whitney a bit to get good his first season here, and Vermette showed up this game. So far though, Sully looks weak.

True that he looked totally lost and cost us at least 3 breakaways, it was bad, anyway what was the deal on that 5th Chicago goal from where i was sitting downstairs it looked like the ref blew the whistle well before it went in.
