Not remotely close from the Blues POV.

Already been done and blues fans did not want. Berglund's size fits our team to a T so there isn't really any incentive in doing this deal for a smaller center in Gagner.

They might consider it if you propose something like RNH for Berglund + Oshie....

Try considering team needs of both clubs... Why would STL make this deal?

That isn't the issue. The Blues are looking to push for the Cup now, so they aren't going to downgrade a roster position because they get a mid-round pick or a prospect along with it.

As a general basis for a trade, it is totally unworkable from the Blues perspective.

Let's just say it was Gagner and a 2nd for Berglund. It still wouldn't be beneficial enough to the blues who are in win now mode. We don't need any more depth players, so adding another small piece to Gagner wouldn't help either. The Oilers would be dumb to make it a first so I just don't see something based around Gagner and Berglund happening.

Do you not remember this thread, haha? You're making the same proposal and taking out the pick...

I guess the lockout improved Gagner's value!

We'd have to add a significant piece, one possibly bigger than Gagner himself.

This proposal has been posted way too many times. It's even older than the Toronto ones asking for Stewart, Berglund, or Halak.

The answer is still no.

Why would St. Louis want to downgrade? Acquiring Gagner for Berglund would be doing that.

Because to elevate oneself and reach the higher goal, one must downgrade and feel the humilty.. Without the downgrade, the desire to withstand the pain of defeat and give the utmost in battle and conquer still stands Hulk Hogan!!

I would like to know what the OP's reasoning is behind this. Besides the 100 Gagner/Berglund threads that have been shot down, what makes the OP think the Blues would make this trade?

I will hold response until there is some reasoning behind this thought, other than, I have a movable piece and another team has a player I want...HF DEAL!

As a Oiler fan I must apologize for the OP to ever think that a cup favorite like the Blues would ever think of trading one of their key components.

Why was I not surprised it was this terrible offer? I mean it's only been done ten times already.

Omark is pretty much worthless in any trade value. This trade is just as bad as the OP as it takes none of the Blues needs into account. EDM and the Blues are horrible trade partners.
