Cory doesn't look so hot right now.

I think Vancouver is a team primed for a first round exit if Cory is in net.

Personally I dont think there even is a phantom team. Gillis is just using the media to try to push a team to offer more than they are currently offering.

Very interested to see how Schneider does if/when they do end up moving Lu. The part of me that hates the Canucks would hope he fails, but the part of me that wants my fantasy team to do well wants him to succeed

The list of players that have more goals than Kessel grows. Poni now with his first.

Kessel has had plenty of opportunities though, if he didn't have good chances, then I'd be worried.

Last game was his only truly terrible game. Where he got nothing going.

Kessel scores in bunches. By this time next week he could easily have 5.

I nominate Mike Milbury and Keith Jones as the worst intermission panel ever.

Yeah, they're the team that's about to finish 9th.

They're just not good enough to win on a nightly basis.

Hopefully they don't collapse like we did last year.

Dougie Hamilton: "happy i'm not in Toronto"

http://www.ottawasun.com/2013/01/26/...ookie-hamilton

Quote:
He was born in Toronto and grew up playing minor hockey in St. Catharines.

But when it comes to the NHL, Dougie Hamilton will take the Bruins over the Maple Leafs in a heartbeat.

“I’m just happy to be here (in Boston) and happy I’m not in Toronto,” Hamilton told the Toronto Sun.

Who can blame him? If you were a 19-year-old defenceman with a team that won the Stanley Cup just 19 months ago and had the chance to play alongside Zdeno Chara, wouldn’t you feel the same?

Of course, he can’t completely escape the Toronto scene.

With friends and family in attendance, the Bruins will visit the ACC next Saturday for a Feb. 2 showdown with the Leafs. Having been selected ninth overall in 2011 with a pick acquired by Boston in the Phil Kessel trade, he can expect to be swarmed by reporters from the moment he arrives at the rink.

Having been through the same experience two years ago, Brampton’s Tyler Seguin, another remnant of the Kessel trade, was asked if he had any advice for Hamilton in handling the Toronto media onslaught.

“You can’t prepare for that,” Seguin chuckled. “How?

“He’ll have fun with it.”

What else is he going to say? He wants to make the B's fans happy. I'm sure he would say he's happy he's a Leaf if he played for us instead. Not a big deal.

This is a nothing article if there ever was one.

What is he going to say?

"I'm so pissed the Bruins drafted me, I wanted to be a Leaf"

Yeah...no.

If the Leafs drafted him, he'd be singing the praises of the media and the fans here.

Chara says Dougie Hamilton..."has got all the tools to develop into a Norris Trophy candidate"

A Norris Trophy candidate? That's just great! The Kessel trade just keeps looking worse and worse good riddence Brian Burke.

Quote:
BOSTON - Four games into his young NHL career, Dougie Hamilton peered up into the stands of TD Garden and heard more than 17,000 people chanting his name.

“Dougie, Dougie ...” they shouted during the late stages of the Boston Bruins 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Friday.

The kid had best get used to it. According to Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, many more accolades are in store for the young defenceman.

“He’s very willing to learn,” Chara told the Toronto Sun. “He’s got all the tools to develop into a Norris Trophy candidate.”

Yea, exactly. He'd say that it is a dream come true to play at home in Toronto and all that jazz.
