There were a few sketchy interference calls in the Rangers v. Bruins game last night. It's the only game I watched though so I don't know what went on around the league.

I think they're trying to make a statement on interference and unsportsmanlike play until the players adjust to a cleaner game. There was way too much holding, setting picks, and embellishment last year, it was sickening to watch sometimes. Of course, goalies being sacred will still get away with performances worthy of an Oscar,
Why are you using photos to prove Ovis innocence instead of the actual play? Maybe it has to do with how ridiculas he looked?
So his arm around Ovechkins shoulder, then his jersey mysteriously defying gravity and Salos arm stretched out backwards instead of trying to protect himself from hitting his head on the boards isn't good enough?
Clearly Ovechkin should be suspended, he probaly at stickum on his jersey, making it impossible for Salo to protect himself.
So what is required for a double-minor on embellishment?
I remember reading that a new rule was being put in place where if somebody dived, he'd receive a double-minor and the player committing the original penalty would only be given two minutes.
However, yesterday Ovechkin was called for embellishment without receiving the extra penalty and I believe it happened to someone else as well. I'm just wondering what is required for the four minute penalty.
Terrible call on Ott when you consider Leopold getting called for "tripping" Grioux when Claude threw himself to the ice before Leopold's stick did anything to him. Pierre acting like Giroux got corkscrewed was even worse.
