Somehow we're the "hot team" in this match-up. Go figure.

Rangers once and Devils twice after this, not looking good.

yeh next 5 games are going to be real hard vs top teams in the east. If we want back in the race this is pretty much a must win.

I want to believe, but the Lightning turn it up @ home. Despite their losing streak, I am going with 6-3 TB. Backstrom with two goals.

We need this game... and at least 1 of the next 3, if we're to become a functioning team.

Of course, we could lose all but 1, and probably still be in striking distance of the playoffs.

Me? I'd like the team to win all of the next 4.

So, I say we win 4-3 tonight.

Two questions:

- How soon till this thread gets hijacked?
- What will be the topic of discussion that will derail it?

Tampa Bay fan coming in piece. Why is your former #1 pick, 7 million dollar captain getting worse, even faster than our former #1 pick, 7 million dollar captain?

Do you think one of the reasons for the Caps slow start is that they changed the style of socks they wear?

#Caps coach Adam Oates says NHL players shouldn't go to the Olympics: http://wtim.es/X7haLb

Why even bring it up Oates? you know your top players want to go. Why say anything that would upset them?

Reverse Hunterism.

Hunter = Never talk to his players.

Oates = Poke the ****ing bears with a sausage bat.

It never ceases to amaze me. People bring in powdered donuts into the office, and then look at you in horror when you take your first bite and your lips turn white. You can see them smiling awkwardly, appear uncomfortable; almost mesmerized by your lips.

I don't wipe it off immediately since I will be taking another bite in a few seconds. That really freaks them out, and they break out into a nervous laughter.

Coffee and Donuts served up by Sarge tonight in the crease? I hope Erskine smashes his little serving table and rips off his apron.

Caps in full sandbag mode. The question is, will they use the sandbags to just lay their heads on for a good snooze or use them to build a good defensive wall around the crease.
