I haven't caught many Jets games or been on the boards much for the past two weeks. Been busy with my son's high school playoff games! Third straight state champs win! bittersweet because it was my son's last year. Here are some pics:

My son, Drew (yes, he picked the mouth guard habit up from Ladd and the boys)

After a 1 goal loss then a 1 goal win against Columbus (Georgia), Brookwood took control of the final game!

My son was on the ice for all four goals. Note happy Columbus parent behind glass.

The seniors.

The team.

Ready to get back to some NHL now. Though I gotta tell ya, no games seem as exciting as the ones I just went thru!

If this isnt the place to ask this i'm sorry. But is there anyone that would be interested in possibaly splitting Bomber season tickets? None of this is for sure just want to see if anyone has any intrest. I would like to garantee 2 seats to 2-3 games ( out of town ). If this isnt the place for this, please tell me where to post it.
Thanks

He's had that number since way before high school. I guess he wan't presumptuous enough to take 17 (Kovy's number) or 18 (Hossa's number back in the day). Drew knew that Marion's brother's number was 81 and so I think he decided that was cool. It was still because he was a Marion Hossa fan, not a Marcel Hossa fan though. Plus, 81 was a lot easier number to get in rec leagues and such. It's funny to me that he wears 81 since he's been a defenseman his entire "career" and it feels like such a forward's number.

Thanks for indulging a proud papa and for the congratulations, everyone!

I don't think "yucky out there in Winnipeg" is going to be a good enough reason to get me out of work down here, but I'm willing to give it a try!

Normally there are 10-15 people on my morning bus. It was packed full today and I was a half hour late. I see people missing so I guess it'll be a slow day at work. Or it'll be a busy day if I have to cover for them.

Almost did the splits trying to get across Portage this morning.

If it helps, it's also very yucky in Stockholm!

It's garbage out here as well. Took an hour to get to the office on the opposite side of the city from where I live just to be told I'm working at a site that is 10 minutes from where I live. Took an hour to get all the way back. Good thing I have a company vehicle and get paid by the hour, lol.

Yeah, it really seems to be lousy across the country, everywhere is in the minuses. Well, except for Vancouver. *shakes fist at Garret*

I'm glad that my foresight to book off the day after St. Patrick's Day off also permits me to avoid this weather.

Going out to my parents' place in Calgary for Easter and we're going to the Flames vs. Blue Jackets. Will be my first time at the Saddledome since we went to 7 or 8 games in 2000 as a kid. Hopefully it's a good one!

Nice avator. I seen them about 4 years ago. Definitly brought thrash!

This weather is nuts. I live in a rural area with a long driveway, I plowed it this morning and a couple of hours later it looked like I hadn't touched it. Don't even get me started on the highways...

Thanks! They used to come here every year supporting a bunch of different bands and I saw them every time. Haven't been back in a while.

Their new guitarist is a really cool guy. I knew him from back when he was in another thrash band, Mantic Ritual. They came here a long time ago supporting some hardcore bands and my friend and I were the only people that went just to see them.

Ugh, my family used to live outside of Portage on a highway. My dad would send me out with a snow blower every few hours during storms.

Can someone please clarify where the term "They are throwing pizzas out there" comes from. I read it all the time here when someone ***** the bed and I know what it means, but where the hell did it origionate from? For the life of me I can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy.
