Well, that is kind of bunk, eh? Winnipeg really needs a regionalized sports channel geared towards the market that runs 24/7, similar to what the other NHL cities out west (and likely out east) have. I just don't see why this isn't possible, especially now with pro sports back in town.

for example, my MTS tv you can get it as apart of a package of channels,
but you may also get that one channel specifically for a fee.

It's been going back and forth, but in reality, it has been other cities like Regina, or Abbotsford that were the true Murder capitals from a per capita bases. Edmonton and Winnipeg were up there, but we were dubbed this simply because we are among the largest cities in Canada, so there is more to gain for media attention with bringing us up all the time. Thunder Bay had 7 or 8 homicides last year, so they could very well possibly be the murder capital for 2012.

No, you don't get TSN Jets if you pay for the Sportsnet package. Not sure who would pay for the Sportsnet package anymore, since all the regional Oilers/Flames games are now blacked out (Manitoba was part of the Sportsnet West region before the Jets came back).
TSN Jets is $9.95/month (or free if you're on Bell satellite TV). You only pay during the season though. So probably $70 in a non-lockout year. Less than a single P4 ticket!

The gf had it for about a week. It was decent, just looked a little too big for me.
Plus I miss BBM.
They do seem big for about a week. But they fit in your pocket and you don't even notice them after a while. Plus that big beautiful screen is amazing of watching HD videos and looking at Instagram etc.
Super fast, functional and tonnes and tonnes of great free apps. Blackberry won't give you that.

I think I'm going to switch from my iPhone to a android phone when my contract is up.
I actually really like my iPhone but my dislike of the Apple cult leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Also Apple trying to dictate online content formats by limiting what can be used on their devices pisses me off.

Yes, yes. Come and join the turbo-nerd neckbeards and our Android devices. Come the summer, I am going to talk to Rogers and see what the buyout penalties are for my contract with them. I want to switch to MTS for my cable, internet, and cell phone. I can likely bundle the 3 of them together and save more money that way that I can with Westman cable and Rogers. Plus, TSN-Jets.
