They were on the powerplay and Morrow got a phantom call.
It was an extremely weak call, especially in overtime where you generally don't see that many calls.
I'm surprised at how well the Hawks can control the play, but how little they cash in on their chances. I think as teams start to gel and the season moves along the Hawks will suddenly find themselves struggling and unsure why the wins stop coming...
Turned on the SJ COL game it was 30 seconds in the score said 2-0 I was like wtf happened? and then they changed it to 0-0. Did anybody else see that or was I just hallucinating?
Rumor that the Flyers have offered Sean Couturier (+?) for PK Subban. Crazy if true.
For the money PK wants it will be hard for Philli to afford PK. As of right now they only have about 12k in available cap to spend. But with Pronger on LTIR they can go 4.9 over plus Couturier's 1.3 that is only about 6 ( i know its 6.2 but its not opening day so its really not 6.2) they can offer PK which is what he wants. If they have to call some one up they might not be able to afford it unless the + consist of a roster player or 2 which I cannot see them doing with all the injuries they have right now.
Big thread in the main forum about it, but here is the video...
That is a clean hit for me. Unfortunate that the head got the brunt of it, but Landeskog put himself in that position.
I tend to agree, I think. Arm and elbow tucked tight, he led with his shoulder, and he didn't jump into the guy or charge him. The initial impact seems to be a bit high...perhaps in the collar-bone area (it's pretty hard to tell). Tough hit, but the form was good and I don't necessarily see any intent to injure there.
Hawks play their next 6 on the road. They're obviously not going to lose all of them (I'd be surprised if they lost more than 2 tbh) but I'd expect them to finally lose during that stretch.
