Howard is a cancer, no way the Warriors even consider him even if money was no issue.

With time for Bogut and Curry to get healthy the right way, as well as Rush coming back, I think they'll have the depth to compete again in the playoffs.

Game 1 of the weird 4 game set goes to the A's.

Hoping for at least a split.

All things told, I kinda like this way of doing proximity interleague play. It has a more post-season baseball feel to it.

I wish there were more than 4 games between these two teams though, and want to see a second 4 game split series worked into the schedule for each team's proximity interleague matchup. Give me two games against the Orioles and Rays, I want 8 against a team with players that I've heard of (most of the time).

Just watched the Giants avoid getting swept by the A's and I just noticed something...

Boyle and Zito could be brothers, and I seriously doubt anyone would question them

"No offense to New York, but I'm so, so happy I didn't fall to them in the draft," Curry said. "No matter what they do with the new arena, they better not change the dynamics of the fan base. If we have the same fans, in this new place … man, I'd want to play here forever. Wouldn't you?"

Giants are in a stupid part of the schedule right now. Since the Oakland series, they will only play 4 home games. This includes coming home from St. Louis for two games against the Jays, then flying out to Arizona and not returning home until the 17th.

wut?

This year has been absolutely brutal. Between the suspensions to what seems about everyone, the injuries, the poor play so far in league, and the awful showing to 3rd division Charleston, CCL may be all that the Quakes can do this year. I hope we can even make them contests.

The A's are 9-0 against the 'Stros this season. The Angels are 4 innings away from being swept by the 'Stros... in a 4 game set... at home.

Best, offseason, acquisition, EVER!

Could always use plenty of ST'ers. Didn't like the way the coverage unit played in the 2nd half/playoffs.

49ers have the feel to me that if they can finally get that one 'ship, the floodgates will open. People will drool over the Seahawks because their 2nd place and a sexy pick, but this 49ers roster and coaching staff is deep everywhere.

I think the Seahawks will take a step back this year.

Im not sure how Russel Wilson makes everyone forget about CK7. I really don't get it.

Wilson had a great rookie year coming out of nowhere. But, when you compare the two individually, Kap is better in just about every area. Kap is faster, bigger arm, more touch. Maybe Wilson has him in pocket awareness, but that remains to be determined. In god given natural talent, Kap all day every day.

At #1, MLB Astros draft player from Stanford.

@RuleofTree 1h
In last two years, Stanford has had 1st overall picks in NFL, MLB and WNBA drafts

@RuleofTree 1h
Only 8 schools have had 1st picks in NFL and MLB drafts: Stanford, LSU, Oregon, Nebraska, Rice, Miami, Vanderbilt, UCLA

@RuleofTree 1h
Of course only one school has had four 1st overall picks in NFL draft AND a 1st overall MLB draft pick... Stanford

Josh Donaldson has to be an all star at this point. Probably the front runner for the GG, too.

Stockton Thunder President Dan Chapman has accepted a position as the Assistant Athletic Director @ University of the Pacific. (Guessing he may be the heir apparent there.)

Nice guy; good luck to him.

Little late, but he's also a fellow UCI alum. Woot!

And also a little article about Timmy finding his curveball once again...let's hope he keeps it up.
