Timmy with a gem. One could say he was 5 pitches away from a perfect game.

3 walks, 1 HBP, and 1 Wild Pitch if I remember correctly.

lol @ Posey cracking Timmy in the back. So happy for him after the last couple of seasons he's been through. I still hope they don't let him walk next year, even if he is on the down slope.

Wouldn't it be Timmy if he hadn't walked anyone.

Wondo is absolutely tearing it up with the USMNT right now. 5 goals in 3 games.

id like if we can win the gold cup again so we can play in the confederations cup. we are much better off playing more top teams.

if donovan and holden can keep up their form i like this team a lot.

Let me get this straight, you're putting Confederations Cup over World Cup?

So, he wasn't close at all to a perfect game.

He pitched a great game and deserves the praise he's getting. He K'd half the out's he got and outside of Pence's play, the d looked to have an easy night.

He's a ****ing joy to watch right now. I'm already ****ing psyched for the World Cup. The World Cup/Winter Olympic years are always my favorite.

what? youre drunk

i was talking about gold cup vs. confed. cup. we have to win the gold cup to get in...

there are only so many qualifying matches...generally against fairly weak comp. so itd be nice to get in again before the actual cup..

edit: i see why you said that now. obviously id rather be in the cup, forgot 2013 already happened.

People need to lower their soccer expectations. US soccer team is so bad. I can't believe people were celebrating a 1-0 win over ****ing Algeria like it was Argentina or something. And then they lost to Ghana... ****ing Tim Howard.

It's like the Armenian national team. They beat someone like Denmark 4-0 and then lose to freaking Malta. What?

that win was celebrated because it was in the dying seconds and it put us through to elimination rounds. were you sad after it happened?

im always gonna hope they can go further than the cup before. but we still havent bested 2002...so whatever.

No I was sad because they couldn't score on Algeria for 90 minutes. We got pretty lucky with the group we got.

5 pitches is pretty close to me. I think Timmy threw 148 pitches in total. One can almost always pin point the results of a game down to the amount of pitches that cost the pitcher that particular achievement though. Ball 4 x3, HBP, Wild pitch. Had those 5 particular pitches gone his way it would have been a perfect game.
