Devastating injury.. I could actually see this being one of those times where he just never fully recovers as a player. Seems ripe for "Who knows how far Karlsson could have gone if he didn't have that achilles tendon injury in his sophomore year.. it's a damn shame"

To be fair, Mario Lemieux is not Cooke. Blaming Mario for how a grown man conducts himself is too much. Mario didn't play the game this way. Cooke has been 'better' last couple years.
Besides, It's not 100% certain this was intentional. Cooke's attempts are usually fairly obvious, he's not subtle at all.

Cut resistent socks exist. I have no idea why these things aren't pretty much near mandatory. Sure, mandatory is a big word but it's a sock. Wear it.

Just quoting you because I want to clarify, I don't believe Cooke tried to cut him. I do think the slim bucket was trying to step on the back of his skate and missed which is just as bad as far as intent goes.

When Cooke was running around doing his thing, Lemieux said no more and Cooke changed. Many WANT this to be him breaking the rules again but it just may not be. It may just an unfortunate play. It may be intentional too but I don't think Cooke has the IQ to be this subtle.
