I calculated the fantasy points per game for each of the players from LAST season:

Ward - 6.86
Ryder - 1.80
Wideman - 1.53

Miller - 6.98
Voracek - 1.52
Seabrook - 1.02

Ward, Miller and Seabrook I expect to remain about the same. Ryder and Wideman decrease a little, and Voracek to increase. Totaling up last season it's a clear win for me but that was last year, hindsight will show if I did right for it I guess.
What do you mean by fantasy points per game?

in the pool in which I did this trade, players get you points from stuff like goals, assists, PIM etc. So I took the total number of fantasy points they got (from the goals, assists etc) and divided it by the number of games they played last year. Basically it's the average of what they contribute to the fantasy league.

I think it was a smart play by Brady.

That defensive player looked like he was coming in for the head-shot, as the Ravens are notorious for illegal tackles, along with the Steelers. Self-defense, if you will (even if he might have injured his leg).

I think that's why the Ravens have a good defense. It's not that they have good players or anything, it's that players are actually afraid of having their careers ended by a dangerous hit.

Anyway, in a way Brady helped us all. Now we don't have to hear exuses from the Ravens about losing to the 49ers in the SB because of a suspended player from hitting Brady.

That's what I figured you meant, but isn't there a pretty big flaw in doing that and comparing "fantasy points per game" with other players to determine who is worth more? Firstly, are all the categories weighed the same? And if so, I would say 1 blocked shot is worth more then 1 hit, etc.

Ravens are known for tough defense, not dirty defense. QBs know that if a player is going to hit him late, it's going to be suspended and a big flag..

Don't even care about the shut out, just need Lundqvist to put a nice game together. A good 30 saver or something.

Lucic had 10 hits by himself today

In this pool it's total points gained throughout ALL of the categories to determine who wins the matchup, not like the LL one we are doing where you need to win the majority of the categories. And stuff isn't weighted the same such as goals are 2 points while PIM is 0.3 and a PPP is 1 point. So what I did is I took all the stats relevant in this pool, foudn out how many each player got and multiplied each stat by how many points that stat gets me to find a total. So in this pool yes I am able to use it to compare players. In the LL one we are doing I am not able to do this.

My goalies haven't let in a goal yet. Heck, they haven't even faced a shot.

I'm not even going to bother editing my lines since I already lost half the categories lol.

Why was B Schenn considered one of the best/top young forwards not in the nhl last year and Kadri was always seen as a bust even though they've been more or less equal at every level?
