I looked at this thread earlier today and chuckled when I was looking for the standings prediction thread.

I don't think people are stupid for betting against Vancouver... I think they're off their rocker for thinking Minnesota would be vaulted from the worst team in the league to winning the division.

I know they didn't finish last, but they were last in 5v5 goals, last in shots per minute (also 5v5), last in fenwick close, 2nd last in 5v5 goal differential... They were awful. And they still are.

So far this year, they're tied with Nashville for 28th in 5v5 goals, 27th in shots per minute at 5v5, 27th in fenwick close, and 25th in 5v5 goal differential... They spent $196m to move from somewhere around 29th/30th to maybe 25th.

How the hell is Minnesota even winning this poll? No offense, but they might not even make the playoffs. Spending money (unwisely I might add. . .) doesn't mean automatic success.

Canucks dont even have Kesler and Booth back.

The ONLY way Minnesota is winning this poll is anti Canuck SPITE vote . Does anyone honestly believe the Wild are going to overcome the Canucks?

They are the BETTER team than the Canucks ?

Obviously there are Wild fans who will stand behind their team but them not withstanding, the rest of the Wild votes are horsecrap.

Actually many people likely voted for the Wild because the OP is a Canuck's homer.

this

nothing against the other NW teams but the Canucks were the clear favorites, the way it was stated in this thread was very cocky and not cool. I assume there were some anti-Canuck votes in there

"The Vancouver Canucks"

No but seriously, Vancouver.

Because people don't watch them play.

unfortunately I believe it was a tires pumping thread, makes Canucks fans seem more arrogant than many already think we are

Kind of funny in hindisght.
It just goes to show that it isn't always the teams who make the most or biggest moves who improves the most. This past season Minnesota was everyone's darling and the year before it was Buffalo.

Yeah your right.

That's what you get when the biggest homers in your fan base like this guy make a thread.

I think a lot of people were deliberately not voting for Vancouver to spite the OP, a huge Canucks homer/troll whose account is now suspended.

Poll was made really early in the season when the Wild were hot, and there's some built up disdain for the Canucks on this board.

Voted Canucks, they will win. Only playoff team in the division I believe.
