How many games

Anybody want to guess as to how many games it will be before the Canes realize that Patrick DesRochers is not even a quality back-up??

The Canes would be wise to try to pick up another decent back-up before the season starts. Waiver draft, who's available?

I'm willing to give him at least until the waiver draft to get his mess together. From press reports he was starting to find his feet a bit after he let in three more goals against Tampa on Sunday evening.

There's usually a couple of veteran backup types available for a waiver draft claim ... nearly all of whom would have more experience than PDR.

I'd be happy with Arturs Irbe, although most of you would probably be against me

I highly doubt that will happen. The bridges have been burned.

If Weekes goes down early, they will have to call up Irbe..they are paying him anyways.

That begs a diffrent question. Besides shooting his mouth off..Play me or trade me..did Archie like sleep with Rutherford's wife or something? I've never seen a goalie fall from graces so quickly.

Other than making a locker room pariah out of himself last year, Archie removed himself from the Canes plans with his HORRIBLE play last season. I mean ... he didn't have more than a handful of solid starts all year and most of the time he was just awful.

Irbe was statistically the worst goalie in the league last year. He has earned his fall with ill-timed playing time demands and horrid play.
