So I'm wanting to buy a replica 2005 Malkin Magnitogorsk away jersey from Pro Russian Jerseys in Toronto next week as they will have a booth at a convention I'm going to. However the stock picture of the jersey I want on their site doesn't have the assistant captain "A" on the front of the jersey. So I emailed them and the guy told me that some of them have the "A" and some do not because of a problem with Lutch not putting "A"'s on some of them. But he can look and see if he has ones with the "A" on them if I want it with the "A".
What's the deal folks? Did he wear the "A" back then on that particular jersey not? And more importantly, is the jersey I want from 2004-05 or is that what he wore back in his 2005-06 season with Magnitogorsk???
Bottom line, for that 2005 jersey do I get one with an "A" on it (if PRJ have one with the "A" on) or not?? I just don't wanna be without the "A" on that jersey if it's supposed to have one on it.

So if that jersey I want is a 2004-05 jersey or an 2005-06 jersey (I still don't know which year it is)...how does this help me if this is a 2006-07 card?
As for the #11 thing well Malkin’s usual #71 is/was worn by Kovalchuk during international competition like the 2010 Olympics for instance. And that's because Kovalchuk cannot wear his usual #17 because it is retired by the Russians in honor of Valeri Kharlamov.
if you have to do this much digging to find out if you're right, I doubt anyone will notice that you don't have an A when you should or vice versa.
Oh I know. But I'm a stickler for those kinds of things. Not having an "A" on the jersey when I know I should have one on there would bug me. Unless it's not on there because of an uncontrollable circumstance I.E. Lutch not putting "A"'s on some of them and Pro Russian Jerseys only having jerseys without the "A" in stock.
