Wondering if Teibert gets back into the mix if he can get healthy and fit. What would you do? Hertzog has been okay but we've been winning..
If Teibert is fit, you play Teibert over Hertzog, no question about it. Both players work hard, but Teibert is far more dangerous an offensive threat than Hertzog.

I was impressed by Hertzog's ability to fight back and win balls in the game against Chicago, but for the most part his hard work amounts to very little sustained offensive pressure. Teibert has the ability to create a legitimate offensive threat on nearly every touch down the right side.

Surprisingly, the Caps have been winning games due their offensive acumen this season. Their defense still needs some improvement IMO. Teibert plays into their strength much moreso than Hertzog does at this point.

The D just needs to get healthy although an upgrade at LB wouldn't hurt Harvey is atleast a servicable MLS caliber LB.

Jesus TFC. Chivas down a man playing in front of empty seats and you lose 1-0. Brutal.

I just wanna remind EVERYBODY that we have TFC's FIRST overall PICK this year.

Major League Soccer designated player signing.

The Whitecaps traded Eric Hassli, the 31-year-old French striker, to Toronto on Friday afternoon, in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft and an international spot through 2013.

Worst case scenario, we pick TOP 3 in the draft next year.

Guys like manneh, hurtado, Mattocks caliber.

This team just gets better and better news

Don Garber, Commissioner, Major League Soccer
Bill Peterson, Commissioner, North American Soccer League

We, the undersigned, hereby request that Toronto FC, currently of Major League Soccer, and FC Edmonton, currently of the North American Soccer League, trade leagues for the 2014 season.

Although there is no formal system of promotion and relegation in the North American soccer pyramid, we are hoping that MLS and NASL can make use of their working business relationship to enact a change that will be of benefit to both teams, and to Canadian soccer as a whole.

Toronto FC, in its approximately 6.5 seasons of play, has clearly demonstrated that it is incapable of competing at the MLS level. Therefore, one season to fully rebuild and recalibrate in a different environment would prove useful to the franchise itself and to its long-suffering and exhausted fan base.

FC Edmonton, in its approximately 2.5 seasons of competitive play, has clearly demonstrated a commitment to fielding young Canadian players and providing them with a legitimate chance at first-team play. One season at the MLS level would provide the team and its burgeoning fan base with exactly the shot in the arm it needs.

We believe that it is in the best interests of all parties involved for the teams to swap leagues for the 2014 season. Should TFC prove itself incapable of competing at the NASL level, this agreement could be extended for another year (or a further agreement with a USL-PRO team could be arranged).

Should the NASL find the terms of this agreement unacceptable, MLS could toss in some allocation money to make things even.

HAHA completely forgot about that. Damn. More speed, maybe? It'll be nice if we could get someone on the back-line too...

GK - Nolly / Knighton

RB Leather / Lee Young-Pyo

CB Boxall / Johnny Leverón

CB DeMerit / Andy O'Brien

LB Rochat / Jordan Harvey

RW Chiumiento / Russel Tiebert

CM Brovsky / Nigel Reo-Coker

CM Koffie / Koffie

LW Salinas / Daigo Kobayashi

FW Hassli / Kenny Miller

SUBS - Hurtado, Carlyle Mitchell. Matt Watson, Jun Marques Davidson (sometimes, usually starter). Darren Mattocks, Manneh.+Crippled DeMerit + TFC #1 overall pick this year

While going with a defender is a safe choice, IMO you go with SPEED and SPEED AND SPEED.

If you have the luxury of 2 many forwards, you then trade 1 of them for more experienced Vet's on the back end, proven guys.

That TFC game was atrocious.
No flow, no skill, no emotion, no anything.

Boy am I glad the whitecaps are around

Me too. Their home games are ALWAYS entertaining (and not losing helps). I think Rennie is starting to see playing a more conservative attack game is more effective on the road than balls-to-the-wall defending for 90 minutes.

Galaxy next? Huge test, would love to slay another dragon of sorts even though we've got the better of them before.

A win or a draw tonight would be huge!

A draw and a Portland loss will put us into 2nd. A win and a portland loss/tie will also do this.

A loss and a DAL win today could drop us down to 5th however also.

Great clear off the line there. Would have sucked to give one up on the road less than 5 minutes in.

Seriously, win or lose this is the most entertaining team for the last year.

We get dominated early, knighton with a few saves, the boom, our ridiculous offense scores.
