This is the best period of hockey I've seen them play this season so far.

Nice pressure by Roy.
Detroit is looking a little lost.

Roy has been great this game.

Morrow is still garbage if I haven't said that in a few pages. Just letting everyone know that nothing has changed.

damn, Jagr is so good. If he holds up all season I really hope he re-signs. Great passing

For an OFD, Goose really doesn't know what to do with the puck when he gets it into the zone.

It really should be at least 4-0 right now.

Well that's about as good as you can possibly expect this current incarnation of the team to play. Howard ruining all their good work though.

Can you imagine if the Wings had a goalie like Howard back when they were good? Yikes.

Pretty impressive, but such a shame to end the period scoreless.

His legs are shot. He was never a great skater, but something about his recent neck and back injuries have drained him of any mobility. He can't contribute at all. Kind of sad to see how quickly he fell apart.

Well that period was a pleasent turnaround from the 1st.

only blemishes were those 2 undisciplined plays to put the Stars on the kill. It looks like the power-play is the only way Detroit's going to score tonight so they have to avoid that in the third.

Derek Roy has to be scoring a goal soon.

Have the lines been changed or is it just the result of the special teams? Seems like a few Jagr-Whitney shifts at even strength.

Have to think Detroit will come with a bit in the 3rd after that.

Roy, Jagr, Whitney, Eriksson, Eakin, Ryder...everyone we need to play well has been excellent. Daley has been outstanding.

Really really need to get the next one.

Great transition game tonight. Such a change from Minny. Goligoski really seems to be struggling. Gonna chalk that up to the lockout though, he wasn't great last year, but nobody who has good skill is gonna regress that bad

wandell was centering them at the end there... not sure if it was real strategy or if roy was coming off a long shift. planned or not, definitely noticed some line shuffling though.
