That was about the most unenthusiastic reaction to a first career goal I've ever seen

Beauty. I'm very, very fond of Silf, and that laser beam shot of his.

Yeah, I think that's probably the bigger reason for a thread on this goal. The complete lack of reaction to scoring it.

But then, Theodore almost seemed to have given up after O'Brien scored on him. A couple of his save attempts reminded me of one of the Sunday morning goalies for my pickup group. So maybe Silfverberg thought of it as the equivalent of an EN first goal?

I personally think it's because it put the Sens up 4-0. You don't want to be cocky with those type of goals. Especially when you play the same team three days later.

At first I thought he looked like he was in disbelief but after looking at the score and amount of time left I think you're right. Probably a case of a rookie who's been told that he should act like he's been there before when he scores.

I think he was shocked at first, that or he is very humble. Also did they pull the "let him skate to the bench by himself" thing?

I thought it was more that's how he expresses relief. Some people express it more, some express it less. It seems like he has high expectations of his play and the results he thinks he can get.

IDK maybe I'm completely offbase but I saw relief and a '**** yeah' reaction. It was pretty mild, I'd agree with that.

He's been pretty snake bit up to that point.

Lots of flubbed chances.

Good for him, always important to get that first one out of the way, no matter if it's important for the win or not.
