Yesterday's game and the Blackhawks. They are the best team in the West, with regards to the goaltending, that has to prove itself.
On the other side, people argued that Elliot couldn't keep the last years success up.
Overall the Blues dont have a problem. It least thats my PoV.

The defense cannot allow a 3 on 0. Pietrangelo deserves some blame for that...

Chicago is the best team after 2 games and 1 period? No...Vancouver will right their ship.

Impressive fight from Stewart, considering the opponent.

Nice Fight btw from both (I'd give it to Stewart)

Good fight. Stewart's a tough guy and can really throw those lefts. He did well against Bollig.
But look at that trade off. Chicago gets an enforcer put in the box. We put a scorer in the box so would rather have sacrificed Reaves but oh well. Maybe it can get us going.

Goaltending?
I don't think the top team in the West has separated itself from the pack yet.

Will this be the game that our first line decides to show itself?

Worst period of the season thus far. The ice is totally tilted.
(but that was to be expected...for the first 10 minutes anyway...seeing as how it's Chicago's home opener)

I already commented on Hawks goaltending. It has to prove itself. If there is a "?"/weakness with the Hawks its the goalie position.
You're right nobody has seperated itself yet but I'm pretty sure the Top 4 I stated there will do it.

They're playing their home opener against a team that went to a shootout with another playoff team...

Blues are starting to take over the puck possession. If they go into the int only down 1 or tied, I will take it.

Of course...Fail on a great chance and get a penalty. Frank gripping the stick a little too tight.

Crawford's 28 years old. There's very little chance that he's going to take a big step developmentally moving forward. That leaves Chicago with easily the worst goaltending among the contenders in the West, IMO.
The other teams they are being stacked up against are too complete for Chicago to be considered the #1 at this point.

Shocks me, thought him much much younger. But yes their G situation is pretty soggy.
