He should be on Datsyuk's wing instead of useless Cleary. But nobody looks good on offense with Abby centering the line. Babs doesn't seem to putting his players in their best spots to succeed.

The way our offense plays, we would struggle to score more than 2 goals per game.

That means Howard has to play the way he played today whole season and our defense also has to improve a lot.

It's going to be a LONG season

Yes! Two shutouts out of three games. Send Brendan Smith and Gus Nyquist down to the A. Heck, send Brunner there too so they can play for a winner. Make Q our #1 d-man. Let's commit to getting a dominant d-man through the draft since we cannot acquire them via trades or free agency.

Couldn't put it better myself. Cute game. But these players can't play a cute game. Not with a solid defense and an offense that hasn't had time to gel. They looked good on the PP against Columbus, but now it's just embarrassing. Outworked and can't string anything together. Instead of getting shots on goal and driving the net when possible, they revert to passing around Lehtonen's net and getting these useless shots on net. They might have SOG, but the scoring chances couldn't even be in the double figures I'd say.

He really doesn't. It's getting a little pathetic.

Our offense was supposed to be good right? Weren't we supposed to have the best forward group/depth we have had in years.

Sure as **** doesn't look like it.

Then again people were actually assuming Cleary and Sammy are good players lol.

Call me crazy, but I think Babs may have ran his course in Detroit. I guess we have to give it more time, but I had this feeling before the season even started.

Agreed. Fil has made some nice plays.

Gus had one nice play where he made a move and brought it the outside, and I thought he drew a penalty. Other than that I haven't seen much, but he's not playing a lot. Plus he is playing with turds lol.

Remember when the Wings offense used to keep the puck in the offensive zone for 2 or 3 minutes at a time, and the lines could change and they still kept the pressure on? I do. That was awesome.

Good scoring chances with Pavs controlling the puck. That is kind of novel this season. I think it is kinda cool.

Not a kneejerk reaction either, he was out coached all 3 of last postseasons. Most frustrating was the embarrassing loss against Nashville. Maybe his success is just a product of the talented roster, so far he can't do jack **** with a lesser team.
That being said I wouldn't can him, but if someone like Hitch was still available I think Kenny should give it a thought
