I think it's between Chicago and St. Louis - St. Louis certainly is stronger in goal - but I think Crawford will be better this year than last year - and I think Chicago's offense will make up any difference.

The Central might not be decided until the last game of Chicago @ St. Louis.

Comes down to Chicago, St. Louis, or Nashville. I think St. Louis takes it if there are no significant injuries to those teams. But wouldnt be surprised to see Chicago or Nashville take it down.

Chicago is about to start a brutal road stretch. I think we'll know what they are two weeks from now.

I voted Blues but Nashville not getting enough attention. That team is good. They replaced Suter with this Roman Josi kid who's going to be a really good defenseman. Weber is still all-world, they have great goaltending and coaching, and that team plays hard pretty much every game.

Two-way race between the Blues and Blackhawks.

Detroit didn't win it last year with Lidstrom+Hudler, so I don't see them winning it now. Nashville has never won the division. I don't see that changing after losing Suter for nothing.
Columbus is Columbus.

Josi was there last year, so no, he didnt replace Suter in any capacity except ice time.

You're basing your opinion on...IF crawford can have a career year. Interesting. He could be the x-factor but you can say that about any goalie. If Rinne puts together a career year....

Well, if Crawford does well Chicago has a couple of guys on offense who are almost as good as Tarasenko....almost.

Go get some self respect son, you can't get it here.
And how is it that Columbus has more votes than Nashville and Detroit combined?

Hardly. Just poking fun at our #1 competition in the central (imo) and curious to what others think. Interesting perception though.

Doesn't make any sense. I consider Nashville, Chicago, and St. Louis to be on the same level. Nashville might be a bit behind but they're right there.

What a weird reply. Of course Josi was on the team last year. I am saying he's rapidly improving to the point that he's totally competent picking up the slack for Suter. The dropoff exists but is not as big as people think. What else explains discounting the Preds after having lost Suter but otherwise remaining intact? The Preds have been exceptional drafting and developing defensemen; their pipeline is stocked. I'm saying losing Suter won't hurt the Preds the way it would've hurt other teams. Josi's getting very good very quickly and they have depth in the pipeline.
