Ok - now I see she's holding a different phone. That might be the nail in the coffin.

At the very least I think they're similar tho. I don't think I can be faulted for a bad eye.

Poor Silf should never bet on the Superb Owl.

(For the record, my bets: Baltimore straight up [because point spreads are for wimps] and Flacco MVP. 2/2!)

I thought hockey players were not allowed to participate in gambling - like the Jagr fiasco years ago.

You're probably right. Rick Tocchet got in some hot water over that, too -- I was talking about our very own TheSilfverBullet.

I thought it was against HFboards policy as well since we're all basically an extension of the NHL.

I'm watching CBC Marketplace and they're following up on this claim that tap water is loaded with crap.

Even in a smaller city, the regulations for tap water are more comprehensive than the bottled (really tap) water.

Yeah fat Tom Harrington is doing his usual scheme:

1. The water filter companies are all out to get you.
2. Grill some government representative who is basically powerless to do anything.

I've heard from many people that the book is fairly poor. But please, if you haven't seen the film adaptation, do so. One of my favorite films of all-time. I hear it's very loosely tied to the novel. Such a good film.

I've seen it and enjoyed it.

The book is so much different. Interesting premise to it but I ended it not giving a lick about every single character. I'd like to say they provoked some kind of reaction either positive or negative but they were just bland and generally unsympathetic. Many things in the book get a complete working over in the movie adaptation and it's all for the better.

Cannot wait for Rob Ager's analysis of Children of Men - if he ever has time to release one.

Muse is unreal.

They played a concert tonight in my brand new noise cancelling headphones.

Now Silf is more important to me than ever. Once again (it's happened once already) he's responsible for making sure I'm aware of all fire alarms, since I can never hear them.
