They do, they respect that I choose not to strap a brick to my wrist before outings.

My mother inlaw gave me invicta watches for Christmas for 4 years in a row. She is addicted to the shopping networks, and thats were she got them.

They are big and clunky.

I have a few citizens, but they always seem to need batteries.
I pretty much buy just about the cheapest ($20 - $30) at Walmart..

Since all phones have clocks on them I think watches will become
obsolete in about 15 years.

Anyone younger than 25 wear one these days ?

Must be old Citizens because the no longer use batteries as they now have Eco Drive which runs the watch off solar power.

Watches will never die as they are also a status symbol for some and there is a push for smartphone connectivity to watches and even watches as smartphones.

I have an invicta it's pretty nice, but as a whole I find them really ugly. This one is smaller and more subtle than most of their big over-the-top watches.

Extremely light and makes for a good conversation piece as most people have never seen one.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what is that bottom dial on the face indicating? The dial saying TME, CAL, ALM, and LTM.

I believe it's time, calendar, alarm, local time.

It's nice but the non-standard lugs mean strap replacements are out of the question.

I don't know if getting strap replacement is a problem if you can shell out $500k for a watch.

Haven't worn a watch for several years. Having something strapped around my wrist feels uncomfortable. I do like the look of some watches, especially those crazier ones where you can see the mechanics.
