God damn it, I had money riding on both Detroit scoring the next goal or the game ending as a tie. Instead, LA scores and then Detroit scores.

I just hate those teams so much.

It's great to see the Kings fans try to act like they didn't do anything to deserve the hate. Just like Kings fans. They demonize the Ducks, and call them goons, so they feel like they are the good guys in the rivalry (good guys don't exist in rivalries), and now they call everyone haters because the Kings aren't living up to their bloated expectations.

Every Stanley Cup champ gets hate...which is pretty much from jealousy, but in LA's case I think it has to do with their fans over hyping the team (dynasty?) considering they played the way they are now and squeaked into 8th. Most want to point the finger and say "A ha.... fluke"

They've shown flashes and if they can play like tonight I don't see how they can't be a playoff team.

Their next game against the blues will ( hopefully ) have some bite to it. dwight king's stoll-style hit on Pietrangelo will be brought up. That half-assed "fight" wasn't retaliation enough.
Their playoff run followed this script:
4th line scrub runs best/most important player on opposing team, injuring them...usually with no call/punishment.
Waltz through decimated team.

Yeah...

joke

I'm so glad that I bought GCL. Getting to watch players like Tavares, Stamkos, and Kovalchuk regularly is a treat.

Chicago's going to win again. They're coming close to our record.

At least they'll be coming off a long road trip, maybe we can hope for a letdown.

I agree provided their goal-tending holds up. They finally seem to be recovering from all their cap casualties that killed their depth after their '10 cup.

Sharks appeared to have peaked in January and fallen off as usual.

Chicago's speed is going to kill our dmen. I am afraid of that team, but the goaltending does seem to be their weakest link.

So glad the Islanders second round pick is ours. They're ****ing awful.
Very likely that pick is going to be a top 5 pick in the 2nd round

Yeah, I'm a little nervous about their speed. The best player we have to counter that is on IR right now, and we sacrificed some mobility to get bigger in the off-season.

Good to see Visnovsky scored. I hope he gets dealt to a contender at the deadline - he deserves to play for a good team for a change.

How about the Leafs? Early days yet but can you imagine what the Toronto media will be like if they made the playoffs with Burkes team after Burke was fired. They're still a quality goaltender away from making them though IMO. Especially if Reimer is out for a while.

Carlyle has really implemented some nice structure in Toronto which was completely lacking under Wilson. Still like RC and hope they do well.
