Yep. I had thought they would use the lockout/no training camp as their excuse, but the injury one is better.

With Landeskog being able to be activated off the IR tomorrow, is there any hint that this could happen? Any hint of anything?

Hey it's not just my fantasy team.. Well it is but I picked him in the 2nd round because he is my favorite player not on my team. Truly concerned for him and just curious to see what kind of shape he is in.

We have no idea. Avs don't allow injured players to speak to reporters and they give out very little information. We'll know he's back when he's off IR and in the line-up.

What happened to Wilson? I didn't even see the injury. Is there video of it online?

Wilson tripped on Hejda's stick(?), actually I think he stepped on it, and then fell. One of his ankles didn't look too good on the fall, I think he twisted it somewhat. To what extent is hard to say without more info.

Probably a sprain 2-4 weeks, if its high ankle then longer.

I don't know man, that ice level replay showed his whole foot fold under his weight. Looked to be high ankle for sure, wouldn't be surprised if he tore a ligament.

Yeah I just assumed the last couple years of leading the NHL in man games lost to injury was purely bad luck and would not continue this year.

Wishful thinking.

A sprain is a partial tear/tear of a ligament.

I didn't see the play where he got hurt, just read the description but I suppose since Sacco didn't give a timeline we can speculate that it was a high ankle injury (tear of the ligaments joining the two bones of the lower leg) which would be 6-8 weeks before he's back. It's hard to say though obviously - hopefully its a normal sprain, and hopefully no bone involvement.

Yea, we need Wilson. He's one of my favorite avs when hes on his game. I don't think he gets enough love around here for his transition play. Kid eats a lot of minutes as well.

Wilson is like that guy on the team that I really like but that I never really remember as being on the team.... if you know what I mean. Just something about him.

It appears that Ryan Wilson has been placed on IR, at least according to the Avalanche website.

They have Downie and Landeskog already listed, Jones is NOT listed with the indicator of being on IR.

So if there has been no official announcement yet, one could be coming soon?

http://avalanche.nhl.com/club/roster.htm

***EDIT***

Dater reporting that Jones is back at Avs practice today, but Landeskog is NOT. I asked about Ryan Wilson, with him being placed on IR according to the Avs website, got this response.

Also, SOB and PAP not at practice. Hopefully just a "maintenance" day.

I don't know about you, but I'm hoping PAP was just too busy getting cloned to make it to practice on time. We could use another of him.
