Well friends, the season from hell is almost over. I think this song summarizes nicely how this season went:



After starting off strong, the 'Canes completely fell off. And here we are. On the verge of not caring. Or maybe you jumped off that ledge long ago and are just waiting for the announcement that Calgary wins the draft lottery.

Lines (my guess):

Tlusty-Staal-Ruutu
Dwyer-Jordan-LaRose
Wallace-Skinner-Blanchard
(umm who cares? This line will play like 4 minutes the entire night)

Canes get railed, TB beats Boston (St. Louis and Stamkos combine for 10 goals), Nashville trounces Detroit on a Rinne shutout, Calgary burns STL despite sitting their entire NHL roster (srsly, they know how to tank).

Canes sitting on the 4th pick by the end on the night. Waiting for EDM to win their last 2 so they can move to 3rd.

Can't complain about the outcome of this game. Potential for putting the Rangers in a brutal spot vs. alphatanksquad

Would you rather the current division rival Jets miss the playoffs or help deny our future Atlantic buddies a trip to the post season

I've been ok with meaningless wins so far, but 100% in favor of a loss tonight. Helping ourselves and screwing the Jets at the same time would be sweet.

I can't see Kirk not making this happen... He's already shown he'd do it earlier when he thought it would mean something to the players, and there is no reason this game shouldn't be all about giving the fans something to enjoy.

I'd even be OK with both teams doing the human bowling thing for the first 59 minutes of the game and then let the Rangers make a goal in the final minute and everyone goes home happy.

This. If we managed to wreck Winnipeg's season I would take some solace out of how badly our season went. I'd be perfectly fine with us icing the lineup from that mascot hockey game last week.
