Offensive defenseman and/or top 6 forward to Wild

Putting on my GMCF hat for a little while just wondering which teams out there would have interest in trading away an offensive defenseman to play alongside Suter and/or a top 6 forward who can play mostly 2nd line minutes and perhaps some PP to help bolster the scoring depth that has been lacking thus far.

Minnesota obviously has a bevy of prospects as well as a good mix of veteran NHL'ers and promising younger players who could potentially be moved in a package.

Any offers out there?

WIth Subban signing, kaberle is definately available and would come pretty cheap

He was running at a 40 point pace last season with Montreal

Let me just set some restrictions on which players the Wild are NOT willing to move as the OP left that kind of vague.

Brodin
Granlund
Zucker

Coyle and Scandella are unlikely to be moved as well but I don't think either of them are quite on the level of the three mentioned above in terms of how untouchable they are. We were extremely high on Coyle a few months ago but his play in the AHL thus far has left us a little disappointed so his value to us has dropped just a bit and Zucker's value has skyrocketed.

Remember now that the Wild are already at 50/50 contract spots and have only about $2.5 million in cap space so obviously those are some big things to take into consideration when proposing a possible trade.

Gilbert has easily been our best d-man so far this season, outplaying even Suter. The Wild have no reason to move him at this time.

Could a deal be worked for Gilbert using Tyler Ennis, Andrej Sekera, Drew Stafford and Jordan Leopold. All 4 have played on the PP. In addition to those roster players Brayden McNabb and Mark Pysyk are 2 D prospects that project into top 4 guys. Given that Gilbert is currently your best defender not sure if we could give you appropriate value but I love me some Gilbert.

Eller and Kaberle or Weber
for
Setoguchi and Cullen
?

Montreal could use a speedy skilled RH and a faceoff specialist, have an abundance of PMD and Eller doesn't seem to be Therrien's good books.

Minnesota doesn't need anymore centers. Also they can't afford to trade Setoguchi without better winger coming back.

Weber for Cullen might work, but Cullen has ntc

Wait, what? The Wild are looking for an offensive Dman? Huh?

Suter
Gilbert
Spurgeon
Brodin
Scandella

No. No. No.

Sure, there isn't a Mike Green, but the Wild's problem is definitely, definitely NOT that they don't generate enough offense from the back-end.

If anything, the Wild could use some muscle with talent in the top-4 to crease-clear, but they are probably going to have to wait until guys like Scandella or Falk grow into their man-bodies.

We've actually talked about moving Cullen back to Carolina on the Wild's board. Right now, with the prospects pushing to make the team, it Carolina could probably get Cullen for a mid-pick or decent prospect. Brodziak has the #3 center locked-down and Granlund needs some bigger bodies to play with on the 2nd line.

Please no Offensive D-men. Big Defensive D that is physical and clears the crease if anything.

We can offer Justin Braun and Douglas Murray to our Wild friends.

Kronwall is the perfect fit for the Wild... Detroit doesnt seem to ever move their players though. Maybe things will change as the re-tool their team.

MacArthur/Franson/Bozak if you're looking to get guys for relatively cheap.

If the Wild are looking to pick up a top 6 guy for cheap they can probably get Omark's rights for the price of a cup of coffee from the Oil.

That is why I loved it when Tambo picked Fistric up for a 3rd, they guy is what a lot of teams need. He is big and he hits, yes when it comes to offense he doesn't have any but I don't care about that. Love the guy.

That right there is one of Tambo's best feats in Edmonton. Fistric is a solid addition that made sense.

Kronwall is exactly the kind of player we need... I'ld bet Detroit would never move him though...

The Wild really need one gritty top 4 d, and a gritty 2c. This would balance out all of our lines.

Granlund can, and should go to wing.
