He deserves credit for that to be sure; but it doesn't mean he's infallible to the point he never makes mistakes.

No way. Not over the course of 7 years. Many players had their career years and really began to shine under AV.

Kass is beasting right now, if AV doesn't keep him with the Sedins I will search him out personally.

AV is dealing with all that at the same time.
Mind you, it was his choice to put Burrows at centre - should have put Higgins there, imo, as he has more recent experience playing centre. But I'll grant you that neither choice is optimal. That line didn't look very good for the most part.

Why are we ranked below Columbus?

We technically have the better goal differential.

Sure he makes mistakes, but he's also an awesome coach.

But he doesn't have to be accountable for the players' failures. A player having a pathetic shootout attempt is not a coaching issue. If you're an NHL player, you should at least have a good attempt. Its your responsibility. Its part of the game. Get your !@#$ together.

AV seemed to like what he saw from Schroeder, had him out with under 2 minutes left in the third and put him out in OT in his first NHL game. It's rare for him to put his faith in a young guy like that unless he is completely comfortable with him defensively.

Hi, my name is Ghbuki Akawandalandi.

The coach picks the list. If it's obvious SHOOTING isn't working, you send out guys who can make a move. Daniel & Henrik are awful in the shootout. You are trying too hard to seem relevant. You are failing.

Either way, the lack of depth at Centre is forcing him to use a winger there.

If the coach doesn't recognize that a player sucks at the shootout, and continues to put him in, that's on the coach.

It's how I felt in Japan. 6'2 blond guy. I could have peed myself and I would have been popular.

I think Schroeder built quite a bit of trust from AV tonight. Had him out in OT says a lot IMO.

hopefully schroeder can secure a spot as a setup man even if it means moving to wing. That second line desperately needs someone to setup kesler. Kesler and Raymond have zero chemistry together.

By the way...

Kassian has knocked out a dirty player in Ben Eager, giving him a concussion, scored 2 goals and a shootout winner in the last 2 games.

He may never be as popular as he is at this moment.

Someone get that boy to The Roxy quick to "take advantage" of his popularity

I don't think AV put Ebbett out in OT the other night

kesler, booth and kassian will be playing together, kassian wont stick on the 1st line. theyll go back to burrows when it matters. and kassian is a playmaking winger

Schneider's GAA drops from 11 to 4.57, and SV% goes from .600 to .860.
