We have let in so many bad goals, even if Theo has been good.

Gonna be a long season if we can't start picking it up. This is the same old Panthers, starting slow and playing catch up. Which never works.

MacKinnon and Drouin looks great though. Don't want another defenseman even if its Jones.
If we score another first rounder (low first rounder) and their aren't alot of forward options left, I think we should pick up Hagg.

Swedish Offensive D-man that skates pretty fluidly.

I wouldn't mind Mantha or Erne either.

I would absolutely take Jones over Drouin if we pick No.2, you don't pass up on a player like that. Jones is going to be incredible. Drouin with his small body frame is not as sure a thing. Then we can really trade Kulikov for a forward.

Yeah, I completely agree with this sentiment. I'm all for taking the BPA, but I understand drafting to your teams needs when the value between your choices is close. However, Jones is a much better prospect than Drouin in my eyes. I would definitely take him 2nd overall.

Last year, the year they made the playoffs, they had a fast start. They held the division lead for the season and had their slow period during the middle and end of the season.

It's pretty sad to see us already talking about the draft.

I would like us to draft a big bodied winger, someone like Anthony Mantha or Adam Erne. I see ursavolta has already mentioned both those guys. Obviously if we have one of the top few picks those wouldn't be guys to target but if we were in the middle of the pack, or trade for another 1st, I think they would stand out to us.

No need for draft talk right now because thats 4 months away and we can still turn this first week around with a solid win tonight against Philly. Its a battle of the wounded and hopefully Dineen cracked the whip on the boys.

I at Ovechkin and the Capitals when they lost in OT last night, alot of people were touting Capitals or Hurricanes as front runners to win Southeast. Let's not forget about our state rivals in Tampa, they had a good comeback win against Ottawa last night.

Lets finish off the first week the way we started it, with a dominating win and an up tempo forecheck full of energy.

If they don't win tonight, it's pretty much over.

I heard that last time there was a shortened season no team that lost more than 3 games in a row made it to the playoffs.
