The Sharks org hasn't said anything about his injury so we don't know.

Why wouldn't Gomez play tonight?

“The lineup that’s played the first two nights deserves an opportunity to play again, and we’ll give them that chance again tonight,” McLellan said.

So Gomez definitely isn't playing tonight? If not I assume its because they haven't worked him into one of the lines yet because he was just signed. When he was practicing with the Sharks before they signed him he was likely just getting familiar with the way their system is and them seeing if he fits into it and can improve it. I guess its a good thing he's not playing yet because I'd like to see him more familiar with his teammates and especially linemates and the system before we put him in the lineup. Either way I'm pumped about the game tonight it should be sick, too bad I have to stream it though, hopefully whoever's stream I'm watching shows the pre-game ceremonies and stuff. Also, I'm so glad Smith isn't playing even though I'm not totally sold on him yet.

They just didn't want to give Gomez an intro on opening day.

It's official, Gomez is not in the lineup. Good decision, he needs more time with the team before throwing him in the lineup. Can't take risks in a shortened season like this.

Michael J Fox's Parkinson's symptoms actually go away when he plays hockey.

Watching the Coyotes play against the Sharks is very frustrating.

I say 3-1 Yotes with the Sharks scoring their only goal with about 1:30 left to make it a 2-1 game, only to fall short and surrender an empty-netter.

Doan, Michalek, Vermette
Marleau.

They had to respond to our Gomez signing.

Guess Couture will want something similar, which seems about right. Pavelski could probably get 6+ on the open market. Still doable considering Thornton and Marleau will take a little less and Boyle might be gone. Even if Boyle stays, he'll make a lot less than what he's making right now.

Team seems to energetic to let this happen. But part of me thought that SNOG had a better chance

Snog : historic 0-0 tie

Sharks can't score versus backups, but Niemi has also decided to be unbeatable this season - after 100 SO attempts on both sides the NHl officially gives up and calls it a tie.

Ok, so not quite that. I do expect a tight game, and I'm not optimistic for the Sharks tonight. Phx 2-1, Doan, Vrbata and Logan.
