I also don't see them creating space and shooting lanes for our point guys to get a good shot to even get a rebound in the first place.

Maybe I'm being a bit too negative, but I just think the only goals we can get are ones that just happen, instead of having a plan on how to use our lack of offensive ability in the right way (is there a right way?).
Going through this thread, he has a lower body injury.

Don't know why so many are so disillusioned here.

We all knew this team would struggle to score. The only disappointing thing I've seen is the horrid Toots-NikNik line. It's so sad to watch that line play defense.

He's a decent enough player, but I think David Savard would serve us better in my opinion.
He did such a great job mentoring the young players in Phoenix, he was brought in to do the same with the Columbus players. Might not be doing anything in the games but I wonder what his effect is in practice.

We already knew we had weaknesses (offense, in net, whatever else you care to mention), and they haven't gone away.

If there's a struggling team out there with an abundance of skilled forwards, and a paucity of gritty third liners, I hope they think the Jackets are sexy.
True, but it's also four games in. We don't know if there's actually a weakness between the pipes; the defense played poorly last night and had a fairly negative effect. There's a slew of forwards who haven't played together before; is it simply a matter of getting a few games in?

Logic has no place in a GDT.

Varlamov and Colorado ARE playing a pretty good game. Gotta give them credit, even if we're snakebitten.

If that move makes Jack Johnson almost fall over, well...fill in the blank with a negative cliche.

I wonder if we even score a goal. I have a bad feeling we get destroyed in the next game. Not like last night but a bigger beating.

We should probably be thankful we don't have to watch 82 of these. Plus you have to think Howson is out at the end of the season, probably Richards as well. Davidson better have some magic.

Oh, I'm fairly certain many of our issues are related to rust and chemistry. That being said, a few players would have to significantly improve for me to think we shouldn't still be looking around for more talent. In general, though, I do favor a wait-and-see approach in most areas, for now.

Except for Mason. I said it in the last thread, but his body language just screamed to me that nothing had changed for him.

If we played like this in the first period then it might be a bit different.

I'm fine with pushing JJ. He showed he could handle the minutes last season, and likely just needs to get into game shape. It was actually Wiz last season who I thought couldn't keep up with JJ's minutes.
