If LA wins, we will be the last team to at least get a point.

Did you see all of the empty seats even in the first period?

Can people still use the excuse that "Ovechkin = $"?

This was almost as bad as some of the recent NYR regular season losses and the game at home with Buffalo at the end of last season. Time to watch the Oilers vs Kings game.

Go Caps!

Bring on Burke. Maybe he can swing the Anaheim turnaround. We certainly have the pieces for it.

Ted is still clinging to the last pieces of the Abe dynasty years for both his teams.

This team needs to see a pulse check. Just brutal.

Ovy looks like he is intentionally trying to get traded.

None. McPhee kidnapped and killed Leonsis years ago. It's a McPhee controlled robot now.

Tim Hunter is a sleeper agent. It explains everything.

Yeah Halpy, now we know why Dale did what he did.

He saw we couldn't even complete basic passes and said, we are going to focus on defense.

We have no set plays on the rush, the PP is about as static as can be, the team as soft as can be, the defense about as lost as can be. PK, on and on.

The goalies arent winning any games for us either.

Are we doing well in any aspect of the game at all?

Maybe we rock line changes

So he was an assistant coach on a team that went to the Stanley Cup finals. Are you saying that DeBoer was responsible for all their success alone? You are kind of contradicting yourself.

I know that there are Boudreau romantics here, but the reality is that his 'system" was not only failing in the playoffs, but was failing in the regular seasonas wella t the time of his departure. He lost the players to boot. He is the NHL version of Mike D'Antoni. The Caps were a fundamentally poor team with sharpshooters,, and the league figured out that if you crowd them, problem solved.

i was wrong about something, though. I had been a McPhee supporter for a while, and his coaching choices have pretty much put be in with the "fire McPhee" crowd. I'm not sure why he fears experienced coaches, maybe his ego.

Or maybe Oates tosses Fehr in the lineup and calls it a day

whist its still just 3 games with everything new, i think i agree with some that McPhee has done his dash. we just dont have a strong list. there is not much scoring talent and there is not enough strength.

ive always liked mcphee but its just not working mate.

Not sure where the 'devils fans hated Oates' stuff is coming from

Most of us liked him, didn't care for how he ran the PP (some dislike him for just that reason alone), but he was influential in helping the centers notably on faceoffs and throughout his time here he was praised by Parise, Elias, and a lot of other forwards

I feel it, we're just one optional practice away from a win.

I wouldn't mind Burke. He has a SC, not afraid to make trades, and will put some toughness into the lineup.

Nuck fan here. Sorry to ask after a tough loss but I saw some interest in Lu. I understand he doesn't have the greatest contract in the world, but he's still in his prime and an excellent starter. What would you guys be willing to offer?

I'm thinking something like a bottom 6 roster player, one of your goalies and futures?
