I'm thinking something like a bottom 6 roster player, one of your goalies and futures?
I'm down to do Johansson, Neuvrith and a 2nd

I feel it, we're just one optional practice away from a win.

A team with no heart and lacking leadership? Lets bring in Ribero!

Giving Ovi the C was a mistake that cannot be rectified without trading him. This team needs heart heart and more heart. Not sure how to make that happen.

Right on the bolded and on the C but we can't trade Ovechkin obviously.

Sorry that was my point, only way to take the C off him without destroying him is a trade which won't happen.

When will franchises realize elite skill does not equal leadership. Look at Dustin Brown.

You don't know what you are talking about. Ovechkin was given the C in Dynamo when their usual one was out for a month. He was a 4th liner too, so it wasn't a skilled player C and the another one.

Znaroks also coached like Hunter..

@bmcnally14: Alarm bells? Oates on Ovi: "I still think he should be a right winger. But I also want him to be happy and get something out of his game"

Terrible.

If it wasn't for the score, the 3rd period was great and part of that reason was the shifts with Ovechkin at left wing and MoJo at right wing were all pretty good.

Yes, Ovi is Mr. 3rd Period
Now if only he figured out that the game also has 2 other periods.

How is it not? Znaroks had no reason to give it to Ovechkin, could of gave one of the alternates it and gave Ovechkin the A.

Apologies in advance for the following comment:

Man good thing we got rid of Semin. Now we can just focus on playing hard and giving our all game in and game out. Talk about a locker room cancer. Semin was the problem now that he's gone it's smooth sailing to the cup.

First thing I want to say is, although we've shipped what 14 goals now, it is not yet time to panic. This is still early days.

Having said that, there is something I really miss. Something I saw in playoffs last season. We looked like a genuine playoff team then, solid, hard to break down, players working their socks off. And we beat teams a lot better than the ones we've faced so far. What I want to say with this is that hard work always brings results in the long run. I know we didnt beat the Rangers, but we were up there with some of the best teams - BOS, NYR - playing good, honest, hard working hockey. There was no flash or flair there, not at all.

If there is anything I miss, its that, and I am desperate to see that ASAP, till then you can use whichever system, coach, goalie you want, nothing will change.

Mike Green playing a game from start to finish is a major accomplishment. Don't diminish his moment.

Alzner said he suggested to #Caps assistant coach Calle Johansson to break up him & Carlson or change something.

Calle Johansson is possibly the Caps alumnus who knows the most about losing in the first round of the playoffs. Alzner should zip it and listen to his coach.
